Oh, and of course I drilled a hole in the back for power button access. If you're not concerned about the magnetic feature, you could just take the tab out to match the other side. The right side buttons are harder to access with the tab in place, but I'm a lefty.

Not too much to waste if I had wrecked it I removed the side edge for the buttons on the left and left the magnet closure tab in place on the right, except that I "hollowed" the tab out from the inside (to free up the buttons) and removed the shell on either side of it. The one I got is the "Famavala Case for Kindle (8th Generation)" because it was only $7.95. Thank you in advance.HI, I got a Kindle 8th generation fitted shell case from Amazon and hacked it for access to the physical buttons. I would appreciate suggestions on where to look. I just bought the inkbook prime and am looking for a good cover or case for it. There's something about the area under the envelope flap that I love on this one! I seem to remember big lots used to have some cheap ereader cases, I might give them a shot before ordering from online. Amazon is sometimes cheaper and a lot quicker with prime, but they don't have everything! And sometimes the item is exactly the same as the aliexpress one, but costs twice as much.

I typically buy from Amazon or Aliexpress. Usually I buy a case rather than a sleeve, but I wonder if a sleeve would protect it better when not in use since it wouldn't let sand or dust onto the screen. Here are a few I'm trying to decide between various cases. I was planning on reviewing it until I reviewed the InkBook Lumos, which turned out to be so disappointing that I decided it wasn’t worth the time to review the Explore.#4 anabolina 05-25-2017, 02:25 PMI haven't received mine yet, but like you, I've been searching for options. The InkBook Explore was released last fall. The 10.3-inch InkBook Infinity that they were planning to release has seemingly been scrapped-the web page they were using to promote it no longer exists.

Their software is majorly outdated and so is their hardware. InkBook ereaders aren’t very popular at all, at least not in the US. Perhaps they are clearing out remaining stock and just want to get rid of it. InkBook’s own website lists the InkBook Explore as out of stock, and it’s listed as unavailable from other Amazon websites. But for $139 some might be willing to accept those negative qualities.Īll of the other 7.8-inch ereaders on the market are priced at $200 and up so the fact that they’re selling the Explore for only $139 seems kind of fishy.

That sounds pretty good until you get to the fact that it runs Android 4.4.2 and has a single core 1GHz processor.
